Leni

Patiently I awaited her arrival. We have not seen each other since my surgery and I was longing to see her. My sister lives away from the city. Her busy schedule makes our visits scarce. She coaches the Special Olympians in swimming, soccer and snow shoeing. When she knew she had to come to town she found an opportunity to drop by. As soon as she stepped through the front door I rushed to give her a big long hug! She is a special sister. I love Leni, Kleinste Motte.

  1. It's wonderful to have a sister. I'm glad yours could visit you and I'm sure you cherish it :-) Weather here is getting warmer. I think it hit 22 Celsius. I'm finding the sun rather intense these days even when it isn't so hot outside. Can't seem to get a happy medium here. I just thank God there is no earthquake or flooding. We are reasonably well off here nature wise. I hope your weather is also good.

  4. Hi There, Oh how I wish I had have had a sister. I had 2 brothers and raised 3 sons.... I missed having a female in my immediate family other than my mother (who died in 1991).

I know you enjoyed your visit with Leni. My best friend and her hubby are referees for Special Olympics. This Summer --they'll be at the big games I think in Nebraska in July (16-25th I believe). They are 'big' into soccer year 'round!

    Hugs,
    Betsy

  5. It is odd you mentioned your love for your sister. Odd to me because I have had four sisters and two brothers. I never shook hands with one of the sisters and two have died, been buried and gone to Heaven, I guess. I have another sister who is 10 years older than me and I do see her and her husband from time to time. They live in a nursing home. I have another sister who lives in Texas and I have not seen or heard from her in many years. I have no idea about where she is in Texas.

My two brothers. I met one of them who was the oldest, once or twice. He gave me some money one or twice. He died and I never met is wife or his children. The other brother is in Texas too. I get to see him once every year or two.

My family was always interrupted by new marriages by one or both of my parents.

  6. I don't have a sister. My daughters fill that role, I think. I do have a sweet precious brother. :). Gerry
