Phew

Yesterday was may cancer checkup and the blood work is not showing any irregularities. In a few weeks comes the colonoscopy, annual now rather than every six months. Phew! I dread the prep for those. I have a huge dislike for the sour taste of the citromag bottle contents that has to be downed hours before. The diet of clear liquids is no fun either but now that I think about it, I ought to be thankful for everything even that. There's so much stress in the world right now. My little worry is just a hiccup. When it's over I might have one of these again.

  1. I hate prepping for those as well. But you will have earned your sundae - enjoy!!

  2. What a wonderful treat to have after the exam. I've always said the worst part of a colonoscopy is getting prepared for it. I will be needing one in about two years. I'm able to go three years at a time now. Good luck with yours. Glad your blood work was all okay.

  3. Sorry, you have some unpleasant examinations ahead. Auch das wird vorbei gehen.

Enjoy your Eisbecher! (Not for me, sadly, I can't eat dairy food)

  4. I am not like Friko, I CAN eat that lovely sundae, but I won't because I'm tired of being overweight. Ice cream is my weakness, too. Thanks for the picture, but I think I gained weight just LOOKING at it! :-)

  5. Way to look on the bright side! And you could always frame that liquid fast as a day of spirituality. Glad for the clean bloodwork!

  6. I'm glad your bloodwork turned out well. Sorry for the unpleasant test and prep. I tend to agree with you. I complain about having a mammogram. Driving downtown in traffic, parking the car and paying a lot for it, then walking a zillion miles, because the hospital is soooo big. BUT - at least the doctor is really good, funny, and usually on-time. And my mammograms are normal. So, we do have to look at the bright side of things.

That dessert looks yummy! Looks like blueberries and whipped cream to me. Yummmmmm.

  7. It is great to hear the blood work came back so well. I hope the rest of the tests do as well.

Life does have its hiccups, doesn't it? How are they eyes doing?

  9. My colonoscopy is every five years or so. I never had one until 5 years ago and it was great except preparing for it wasn't so hot.

  10. The prep for the colonoscopy is absolutely horrible, but the actual process is a breeze. After my last colonoscopy, the doc said she didn't get enough information and I'd have to repeat it in 2 weeks time.... OH NO! But I went ahead and did it, and now I don't have to go again for another 10 years!
